Astronomy Notes
A year in Tarajos is 444 days, the calendar is 21 months of 21 days, each month being three 7 day weeks, there is also a intercalary period called the ‘Prophet’s Week’ which is 3 days long but occasionally 4.
There are two moons, Uer, which has a 37 day orbit, and Icus, which has a 24 day cycle. As such, only once every two years are the full at the same time. Their names originate from a story of two brothers who attempted to become gods but failed, becoming trapped in the sky.
Tarajos does not have a standard circular orbit, but an elliptical one that titled and off centre. As such, summer is twice as long as winter and the equinoxes and solstices are not evenly spread out.

There are 11 constellations which have a 40 day cycle, with a 4 day period that is referred to as ‘Star Void’ and is always considered unlucky (it does not line up with the Prophet’s Week). Two of the constellations have sub aspects; the Twins, which is split in two 20 day of the male and female; and the Pillars, which are split into four 10 day of each fire, air, water and earth.
